Q: How to customize the Report Viewer with my own details?

A: The users of Web CEO Professional edition have a possibility to brand the Report Viewer with their or their company details.

To customize the Report Viewer interface, please do the following:

1) Go to Web CEO Client Manager (File > Client Manager)

2) Double-click on the client account you wish to customize

3) Go to the 'Customization' tab

4) Click 'New profile' to create a new branding profile

Here you can change your details:

-'Service names' - set up names for the services you provide to your clients
-'Splash screen' - choose the splash screen image (*.png *.jpg *.gif *.bmp file formats)
-'Header picture' - choose the header picture
-'About' window' - enter the e-mail address, the name, the privacy policy of your company

Besides, you can add header, footer, logo (*.png *.jpg *.gif *.bmp file formats) to the reports, and change their color scheme.

You can use one profile for several client accounts, or set up a personal branding profile for each of your clients. Take care to click 'Apply' to save all the changes you've made.

Q: How to send Submission/Ranking reports to the Report Viewer ?

A: The process of creating and sending Submission/Ranking reports (we also call them 'offline reports') is performed with the help of Scheduler.

Here's how to provide your clients with offline reports:

1) Pave the way for the proper Scheduler work. Enter the necessary data to the Submission/Ranking tools, otherwise Scheduler won't be able to run the report.

2) Adjust the Client Manager settings:

- Open Client Manager, choose the client to send reports to, or create a new client account if needed;

- Go to the 'Manage clients' sites' tab and point the client's website(s) that he/she will be able to view the reports for in his/her Report Viewer;

- Move to the 'Set access to services' tab; here you can choose which reports on which services your client will be able to view.

To let your client view Submission/Ranking reports, select the website and click 'Set permissions'. Put the checkmark near the 'Ranking'or 'Submission' or 'Links' services to activate them for this client. Take care to click 'Apply' to save changes on our server.

3) Set up Scheduler to run reports:

- Close Client Manager and open the Scheduler tool (File > Scheduler) -- the 'Task map' tab will open.

*Note: Before doing this, make sure you had entered the necessary info to the tools you will run tasks for in Scheduler

- Choose the client's website and create a task to run in Submission and/or Ranking. Configure parameters and options for each task.

- Have a look at the 'Publishing' section of the 'Task configuration' window. You should see the clients' names from your 'Client Manager' here. If you can't see them, make sure you have set up the clients' settings in Client Manager correctly (most possibly you haven't chosen the services you are going to provide to the client).

- To send the generated Ranking/Submission report to the client's Report Viewer, put the checkmark near the client's name. Click 'OK'.

The task will be run at the scheduled time, however, if you wish, you can run it manually in Scheduler anytime.

After the task is completed, the generated report will be automatically sent to our server. Your client's Report Viewer will download the reports and notify your client of that. By default, Submission/Ranking reports are stored in the 'SEO Reports' tab (you can rename it in the Client Manager settings if you wish).

If you wish to make sure the reports are delivered to your client, you can install the Report Viewer to your PC, log on under your client's account and get the reports. They are stored on our servers, so you both have access to them anytime.

Note: in the latest v7.0 you have a possibility to send an offline report to the Report Viewer directly from the tool (Ranking or Submission). To do this, generate a report, go to File > Publish. Select the client and click 'Publish the report'. The report will be sent to the server.

Q: I can`t log on to the Report Viewer

A: To log on to the Report Viewer, set up an account login and password first. Do the following:

1) Open Web CEO, go to File -> Client Manager.

2) Click 'Add account' to create a new account. Here you can set up the login and password you wish. Fill in all the necessary fields and click 'Next'. The data will be transferred to our server.

3) The 'Manage clients sites' window will show up. Now you can choose what websites (projects) you want to show to this client. Click 'Next'.

4) In the 'Set access to services' window you can choose what reports your client will have access to. Select the website and click 'Set permissions'. Put the checkmark near the necessary services to activate them for this client.

5) In the 'Customization' tab you can set up the appearance of your client's Report Viewer and the style of reports.

Take care to click 'Apply' to save changes on our server. Now you can log on to the Report Viewer using the details you had set up in the Step 2.

Q: I get the "Login already exists" message when adding a new client account.

A: You can get such a message even if you don't have such a client name/login in the list of your clients. The thing is all the information about the clients' accounts is stored in our database at our servers, that's why each client name and login should be unique.

You shouldn't assign commonly used names (e.g. Client1, Client2 etc.) to your clients' accounts, as there are chances someone else has already registered an account using such a login.
Use unique information (say, company name or e-mail address) when creating names and logins for new clients' accounts - this will eliminate the chances that such logins have already been used by some other Web CEO customers.

Q: I only see a few sites on the `Manage Client Sites` tab, but I have more sites with HitLens active in Project Manager.

A: You can only manage the access to the reports for the sites with HitLens activated from this very Web CEO account. According to the Web CEO terminology, you are the owner of such sites.

That's why you will only see those sites that are `owned` by you in the client account wizard. All sites with the HitLens service activated by someone else will not appear in that list.

Q: My client owes me money. Can I temporarily disable his/her access to statistics?

A: Yes. Open Client Manager, select the client's account you wish to suspend, and click 'Suspend Account'. In the confirmation window, press 'OK'. After that, the client will be able to enter the Client Center but will not be able to view any reports - he/she will only see the blank screen.

To re-activate the client's access to reports, select his/her account in Client Manager, and click 'Reactivate Account'. Then, click 'OK' in the confirmation window. Once the information is passed to our Datacenter, your client will be able to load his/her reports again.

Q: Will my client's sites be deleted if I delete his/her account from Client Manager?

A: No, deleting a client's account will not affect the work of the traffic analysis service at all. Once the information about this fact has been passed to the Datacenter, your client will not be able to login to his/her reports with the login and password for the deleted account any more - the Client Center will not let him/her in.

Q: Will the settings I have made in Client Manager affect the work of the clients` websites?

A: No, these settings will only affect your clients' access to the reports for their websites. If you deactivate or suspend a client's account, the statistics will still be gathered for his/her sites, but he/she will not be able to view the reports at his/her place until you reinstate the account.
