Setting up Zone Alarm Pro 5.5

When Web CEO tries to receive data from the Internet, the firewall will pop up with a "ZoneAlarm Pro Alert" and ask you to grant to the file "wsceokrnl.dll" the internet access or block it. Tick the "Remember this setting" checkbox and press the "Allow" button. If you do not choose to remember the setting, the firewall will ask you about this program each time it attempts to access the Internet.

During the Web CEO update, the firewall will ask you to allow the file "webceo.exe" accessing the Internet. Press "Remember this setting" and "Allow".

Attention! After the Web CEO program upgrade the file size and structure are changed. That’s why the permissions for the files "wsceokrnl.dll" and "webceo.exe" must be confirmed again.

Attention! During the Web CEO uninstallation, you will need to grant a one-time access permission to the files "ws_unins000.exe" and the file with the "tmp" extension.

To check the firewall settings concerning Web CEO, open Zone Alarm and choose the "Programs" tab in the "Program Control". Next to Web CEO program module, "webceo.exe", in the "Access" section, there must be two ticks ("Allow") in the fields "Trusted" and "Internet". In the "Server" field, put two crosses ("Block") in the "Trusted" and "Internet" fields. In the "Mail" field put a tick. Complete the same settings for the second module, "wsceokrnl.dll".

If your privacy settings are configured to block cookies, you need to allow them for the sites "websiteceo.com" and "webceo.com".

To do it., open the "Site List" tab, add sites "websiteceo.com", "webceo.com" and allow cookies for them. Put the ticks as shown below.

Then, open the "Program Control" tab and configure the properties for "webceo.exe": enable privacy for this program and set it to authenticate components.

If the Internet Zone Security is set to "High", Web CEO works properly, provided the above mentioned settings are completed.
