DB Maintenance

Q: Where can I find the backup/restore utility? I cannot see it in the Features menu in Web CEO.

A: Web CEO DB Maintenance utility is a separate program available from the Start menu in Windows. To open it, go to Start > Programs > Web CEO > Web CEO DB Maintenance. Make sure to close Web CEO before running Db Maintenance, as these two programs use the same data files and therefore cannot be used simultaneously.

Q: Where are the backup files stored? Can I select a custom folder to save them in?

A: The backups are saved in a special folder in your default user document folder in Windows, unless you specify another folder to store them. The default file name is “webceo_db_<current_date>.wkp”.
You can name the backup file as you wish, and select any custom folder. The program will remember the last selected folder in the future.

Q: I have moved Web CEO program to another computer but made a backup of my data files before. How do I restore my data from a previously saved backup?

A: To restore your Web CEO data files from a backup, copy the created *.wkp backup file to the computer with the new copy of Web CEO installed. Run DB Maintenance, and scan for backups (File> Scan for backup files...) to make the software find it. Then select the found backup file and press 'Restore from selection'.
