General and Billing Questions
Q: Why should I register for the Free Edition?
A: The program is updated very often, so in order to get the
latest update, you should register as a legitimate Web CEO user.
Q: I can't find an order page on the Web CEO site. How do I order?
A: We got the hassles out of ordering. Now all you need to
do is press 'Account' in the main menu, then select the edition
of Web CEO you would like to purchase and pay for it through a secure
connection.
Q: How do I get invoices for bundled services, e.g. HitLens, URL
Monitoring?
A: All invoices as well as your account statement are available
through 'Account Manager'. To see the account statement, view
or print invoices, click on 'Account' in the main menu, then
go to the Payment Center tab.
Q: How much do you charge for using HitLens?
A: It depends on the actual amount of traffic to your site (page
views made by your visitors), and on the reporting plan chosen. There
are two reporting plans available - Power and eCommerce. We bill you
for HitLens monthly. If your site has up to 16,000 page views under
the Power reporting plan, or up to 12,000 page views under the eCommerce
reporting plan, you will be charged a minimum monthly fee of $9.95.
If the cumulative monthly traffic cannot be covered by the minimum monthly
fee, you additionally pay $0.59 per each outstanding 1,000 page views
for the sites with the Power plan, or $0.79 per each 1,000 page views
for the sites with the eCommerce plan.
Also, clients with large amount of traffic (more than 26,000 page views
monthly) pay for their statistics at discounted prices. The maximum
discount is 44% (for the clients with 5,001,000+ page views per month).
Lets imagine a client having activated HitLens for two sites.
For www.site111.com the Power reporting plan is chosen, and the eCommerce
plan is used for www.site222.com. If the site www.site111.com has got
13,000 page views in a given month, and the site www.site222.com has
got 17,000, then the amount to be paid is $.59*13 + $.79*17 = $21.10.
But as the total amount of page views for two sites is 30,000, the 5%
discount is given: $21.10 * 5% = $1.06. So, the client will be charged
$21.10 $1.06 = $20.04.
Q: How much shall I pay for upgrade?
A: The license upgrade will cost you the difference between
the prices of licenses + USD15. For example, if you want to upgrade
your SmallBiz edition to eCommerce, your costs will be as follows:
$495 - $295 + $15 = $215.
Q: Do you offer any money-back guarantee with your software?
A: Yes, the unconditional 30-days money-back guarantee applies to every paid edition (StartUp, SmallBiz
and Professional). If you are not satisfied with the software for some reason, you can request your money back by contacting
our support service at "support@webceo.com" during 30 days after the purchase.
Upgrades to higher editions are subject to refunds, too.
Please contact the support service from the e-mail address under which you have registered your Web CEO.
Note that this Money-Back guarantee does not apply to payments for the bundled services (HitLens statistical service,
site monitoring service, and knowledge base updates); nor does it retain power after 30 days expire from the moment you
have bought / upgraded Web CEO.
Q: Is Web CEO designed for SEO specialists and web designers only?
A: No, Web CEO is designed for all user levels. It doesn't
matter whether you are an HTML or SEO expert or not, and how many sites
you have. You can use Web CEO effectively to move your sites to the
top of search engines' results and increase the targeted traffic. Moreover,
we have a comprehensive tutorial for novices called "Quick
Start Guide to Web CEO" that explains the purpose and usage of
every Web CEO feature in plain English. The tutorial is also available
in Russian and Spanish.
Q: I would like to run Web CEO on several computers. I have a computer
at home and two computers in my office. Is it possible to use one license,
or do I have to buy several licenses of Web CEO?
A: Yes, you are able to run several copies of Web CEO under
one license number. Just register Web CEO at your new location using
the same e-mail, password and license number. You will get all your
projects that were created at the previous location, and you will be
able to use all the features.
Q: I've downloaded and installed the software but cannot find
the registration page. Where is it?
A: You don't need to register each time when you are connecting
to the Datacenter. When you have entered your e-mail and password,
you are given a license number, and the e-mail, license, and password
are registered in our database as your account details. The default
option is AutoLogon, so you don't need to enter account details each
time. But you can uncheck AutoLogon by right-clicking on the little
green icon in the right-bottom corner of the Web CEO screen. Then during
the next connection attempt you would see a box to enter your e-mail,
license and password.
Also you may need to use your registration number if you forget it, or if
you need to reinstall your program (for example after reinstalling your operating
system) and so on.
Q: I e-mailed to Web CEO support, but never got an answer. Why?
A: We always answer all e-mails within 24 hours (Mon through
Fri). If you don't receive our replies, it is most likely that
you are using some anti-spam software on your computer. In order to
receive our letters, you should add our e-mail "support@webceo.com" to your
white-list or add "webceo.com" to the list of allowed senders in
your anti-spam software settings.
Users of SpamArrest and other similar
services should make sure that they can get e-mails from "support@webceo.com".
If
you don't use anti-spam software, your Internet service provider is
probably filtering your mail from spam automatically and filters out
letters from "support@webceo.com" as
well. Ask your ISP to verify that you can receive e-mail messages
from this e-mail address, or to give you the instructions how to
add the domain "webceo.com" into your allowed domains list.
Anyway,
you should resend your original request to us, because we don't know
that our reply was deleted or filtered.
Q: I would like to put my company logo onto the reports I send to the clients. How do I do that?
A: The option to brand your reports with your logo and company information is available if you use the Professional Edition of Web CEO. To put your custom logo, header and footer onto reports, go to File > Settings > General > Reports and browse to the image you use as your logo. Then type in or paste text into the report header and footer. These normally carry your contact information and show the logo.
Q: Do I have to pay for HitLens stats if no hits have been counted for the last month?
A: Once you start the HitLens activation process and set up a master password, the HitLens service becomes active. Even if you haven’t put the tracking script on your pages and the hits don’t get counted yet, you will be charged the monthly minimum of $9.95, since HitLens is now active and some space is reserved on our server for your website database.
In order to start collecting the stats, you need to go through all steps of the activation wizard. This process involves inserting the tracking script into your pages, automatically or manually, and uploading files to your hosting server.
If you’re not sure how to correctly activate the HitLens statistics and start the tracking, feel free to contact the support service: "support@webceo.com".
Q: Why was my credit card charged more than the cost of the software edition I have purchased?
A: If you are a European Union resident,
our credit card processor (SWREG, http://www.swreg.org)
will also collect a Value Added Tax (VAT) from your credit card account,
in addition to the cost of the license you are purchasing. In most cases,
this VAT is subject to refund. For more information on particular refund
possibilities, please refer to https://usd.swreg.org/cgi-bin/msgwizard.cgi.
