Search Engine Optimization
Q: How can I analyze a page of my site?
A: Just type the file name of that page (for example, my_inner_page.htm)
in the entry box. The program will automatically prefix the initial
URL.
Q: The recommendations I found in report are apparently incorrect.
How can it be?
A: Please check your settings. The most obvious reason - you
entered the URL that you want to analyze, while actually the program
scans the initial page of selected project. Don't put a different URL
in the address/path entry box.
Q: Can I analyze the local copy of my site?
A: Yes. You can select 'Use local copy' option. You can also
use 'Compare to competition' analysis for a locally selected page.
Q: The Optimization report says my keywords are not present at the
beginning (or at the end) of my page. I don't understand why,
because I'm sure I have placed the keywords as close to the top and
bottom as possible.
A: The Optimization program analyzes top (and bottom) 25 visible words
counting from the first (last) visible word on the page. Your keyword
must be out of this range, that is why you are getting this recommendation
for your page.
The keyword you are optimizing the page for should appear
among 25 first (last) visible words on the page. Move some text to
the top of the page so that the phrase containing your important keyword
is among the first 25 visible words.
