What's New in Web CEO 5.6
Web CEO introduces version 5.6: now even safer, user-friendlier, more convenient and precise. Web CEO 5.6 takes into account all modern trends in Search Engine Optimization - which makes it an ideal toolset for expert optimizers and webmasters who want to keep abreast of up-to-date Web promotion techniques.
General Enhancements
- "Teach Me". Most Web CEO tools now have a "Teach Me" link which takes you to a video tutorial on this tool. Watching is the best way to learn!
- Support Center. Find the answers to your questions in seconds, not hours. Instead of contacting our support service with a question and then waiting for the reply, you can now conveniently browse the FAQs inside the program, which will really streamline your Web CEO experience.
- Easier Account Management. Now the Account menu also offers quick links to change your username or password.
Promotion Module
New in Keyword Research
- Excel report export. Now you are able to export reports directly to the Microsoft Excel (.xls) file format, which allows for convenient access and working with the retrieved data in the Microsoft Office environment.
New in Optimization
- MSN-specific optimization advice is now available. Web CEO now provides consulting on how to particularly optimize your pages for Google, Yahoo!, Teoma/AskJeeves, and finally also MSN, which recently launched its own Web crawler and index (before that, it used Inktomi results).
New in Editor
- Robots file editor. You can easily guide the search engines through your site, exposing certain areas and pages while hiding the others. When a search engine spider comes to your site, first it asks for the special "robots.txt" file from the root (home) folder. This file contains the directives for the search spider to index or not to index certain pages or folders of your site. Now Web CEO Editor helps you build this file in a visual mode, even without the specific knowledge on its syntax.
- Quick Upload button. After you have made changes to some of your pages, you press "Quick Upload" to automatically start the FTP Tool and upload only those files altered.
New in Submission
- 20+ more search engines. Gain a surplus exposure on the Web by submitting your pages to 140+ automatic and 70+ manual submission search engines and Directories, all worthy to become significant sources of traffic.
- "Resubmit Erroneous". You have submitted pages to many SEs, but some of the engines rejected your submission for the reasons you inspect on the "SE Responses" tab. You go and correct the faults on the pages, then just one mouse click on "Resubmit erroneous" will command the Submission tool to retry submitting all those pages again.
- Excel report export. Now you are able to export reports directly to the Microsoft Excel (.xls) file format, which allows for convenient access and working with the retrieved data in the Microsoft Office environment.
New in Ranking
- Ranking Score report. Visually estimate your overall Web visibility and compare it to competitor's. All positions gained by your site on various search engines are put through a special formula (which considers each SE's importance and also position importance) and then added, so you get one single figure - your ranking score. Do it for several sites simultaneously to see how your Web visibility compares against others.
- Better human emulation. The Ranking Checker is even safer now with the ability to imitate following quick redirects and making more human-like pauses between queries sent to search engines.
- Excel report export. Now you are able to export reports directly to the Microsoft Excel (.xls) file format, which allows for convenient access and working with the retrieved data in the Microsoft Office environment.
New in Links
- Linking sites overview. This is a season hit. Quickly get the list of sites linking to most of your competitors but not you. One cannot think of a more perfect research to form the basis for improving your link popularity.
- Better human emulation. The Link Analyzer is even safer now with the ability to imitate following quick redirects and making more human-like pauses between queries sent to search engines.
- Excel report export. Now you are able to export reports directly to the Microsoft Excel (.xls) file format, which allows for convenient access and working with the retrieved data in the Microsoft Office environment.
