Half-year of hard work and Web CEO 7.0 is coming out. It has accommodated a lot of improvements aimed at Web CEO's user-friendliness and workflow automation, as well as handling the large data arrays in the first place. General improvements

Unified Import System NEW

• Import settings from other tools and projects. Easily import keywords, competition URLs and other similar information from one tool and project into another. Now Web CEO is able to import once configured settings in a few clicks. E.g. you have previously entered competitors' URLs to check their rankings, now you can quickly fetch the same URLs into the link popularity tool to analyze their linking scheme.


• Additional importing options. Import data like keywords and URLs from the clipboard, from a text file, META tags, or by scanning website links. E.g. you want to analyze competitors and see how well-optimized their Web pages are. If you have a .txt file with the list of competitors' URLs you can import it directly into the Optimization tool.

Scheduler

• Task map. New, easy-to-handle interface and settings. Now every task has a more informative mouse-over hint: you don't have to click for task properties, just point to a task with your mouse.


• History. New, more detailed tasks history allows you to filter tasks by projects, periods and even clients (if you share reports with your clients or colleagues).

Report publishing NEW

• Send the generated reports to the Report Viewer (as regards the Ranking, Links, Submission, and Auditor tools) immediately from the respective tool. It's quite convenient if you preview the report before sharing it with your customer - one click of a button and it's become available in the Report Viewer.

Report e-mailing

• Scheduled report e-mailing. The users of the Professional Edition can set up the Scheduler not only to publish auto-generated reports into Report Viewer, but also automatically send them by e-mail to their client or colleague immediately after the scheduled task (e.g. ranking check) is completed. The Ranking, Links, Submission, and Auditor reports can be e-mailed.


• Data grading. You can go in great detail as to what data to email, i.e. set the depth of reporting and comparison options. This setting is available for Ranking and Links reports.

Project Manager

• Bulk-import new websites. If you have several websites you want to add as your Web CEO projects, you can easily import them from a text or CSV file.


• Site details. View service status in the 'Site properties' dialogue window and go to HitLens, Monitoring and Report Sharing settings with one click.

Settings

• Connection test. Find out whether Web CEO is able to properly connect to the Internet and if problems appear, you will be able to identify them with more precision.

Subscription center

• Manage your Web CEO subscriptions. Now you can subscribe to, or unsubscribe from any Web CEO mailing list directly from within the program.

Startup

• Restore last session. On startup, make Web CEO automatically launch the tools that were open when you last left the program.

Interface

• New interface. Now Web CEO has even more friendly user interface that is perfectly matching Vista Aero.

Windows Vista Support

• The new version is 32-bit Vista compatible (support for 64-bit Vista has been also added).

New Notification System

• Improved error, warning, and hint messages.Web CEO notification system has become much more helpful in detecting the reasons and severity of errors, as well as prompting you towards correct actions in problem situations.


• Notification history. Now you can browse the history of the messages previously shown by Web CEO.

Promotion module

Keywords

• Regional Yahoo! bids. Choose the countries you want the bid values to be shown for.


• KEI highlighting. Fine-tune KEI highlighting so that you can quickly identify keywords with the highest potential in the list of suggestions.

Optimization

• Visual indication of warning/problem areas in the report. In the 'Optimization Advice and Analysis' tab, poorly optimized page areas are now marked with warning icons in the advanced section of the report so that you can easily find them.

Editor

• Dreamweaver compatibility. Edit Dreamweaver templates and be sure that you won't delete critical HTML regions.

Submission

• The 'Setup' tab. New easy interface facilitates filling out and storing your website details.


• Customizable page descriptions. If your Web pages have META descriptions, you can repopulate them automatically and use as page details during submission.


• Press Release sites, Article directories and Shopping SEs. Web CEO introduces the possibility to submit your content to these in order to enhance your link popularity and overall Web visibility. Take advantage of the most popular press release submission services, article directories and shopping search engines to promote your products and services.


• The 'Submission Reports' tab. Switch between details and summary while viewing reports for Auto and Manual submissions. Filters allow you to customize data shown in reports, so you can quickly sort submissions by type (manual or automatic) or result (successful or not).

Analysis and Maintenance

Ranking

• Compare your current ranking results to an arbitrary date. Beyond comparing today's rankings to the previous, last or best scanning, you now can choose any other previous ranking report to compare to! The comparison data will be interposed into the current report for your convenience.


• Select the time frame for the best result. While comparing your current results with the best ones, you are now able to select the time frame in which the program will search for the best result (ever, 1 month, 3 months, 6 months and 1 year).


• Cached results. Verify any reported position by viewing how it was displayed on the search engine result page.

Monitoring

• General enhancement. The Monitoring tool now retrieves data and builds reports even faster than ever.


• Customize the Weekly Monitoring Report. If you send the weekly site uptime reports to your clients or colleagues, customize them with your header and footer. Paid subscribers can go further and remove all signs of Web CEO from the report to private-label them.

HitLens

• General enhancement. The HitLens data retrieval engine has been improved. You'll be amazed by the speed with which HitLens now requests statistics and builds reports.
